Ninja Susy

At the present moment there is not a single part of my body that doesn't ache. From my arms, to my thighs, to my butt, to my neck--everything! After missing Hapkido everyday last week from being sick I've been taking 2 hours of Hapkido everyday. It's great because if I continue this way I'll see a substantial difference in a shorter period of time, but it is totally kicking my ass right now. It's been basically 2 hours of stunting everyday. First we do dive rolls (I've been able to nail the dive rolls over a 3-4 foot obstacle, how cool is that??), then we do front handprings, then roundoff-back-handspring, then roundoff-back-tuck, then one handed cartwheels. I feel more like I'm in gymnastics class, but for the first time in my life I'm actually being able to do these things that I've always wanted to do. Though I'm still needing a lot of assistance from kwanchangnim so that I don't fall on my ass.
Also (and this is sooo the coolest part)... yesterday we started learning how to use.......... numchuks!!! I got to class and I thought it was a joke but we actually were learning how to use them. At first, I kept hitting myself on the back of the head until kwanchangnim realized that the ones I was using were too long. It was cool though, I learned a bunch of things including how to switch them from one hand to another, and how to swing them without hitting myself. So now I'm just trying to get over the pain.
